House Simulator
The Retrotec House Simulator is an essential tool for trainers who want to deliver hands-on instruction in Blower Door testing without needing access to an actual building. Designed for classroom environments, this portable simulator mimics a real enclosure and provides a controlled way to demonstrate air leakage testing in real time.
The simulator creates a scaled representation of a house, with adjustable leakage points that allow you to simulate various levels of envelope performance. By connecting a Blower Door system (sold separately), users can perform practice tests and observe results just as they would in the field. The space inside the simulator tent represents the “outdoors,” while the training room itself stands in for the “indoors,” reversing the typical setup to create a visual, interactive experience.
Leakage levels can be easily adjusted using built-in Velcro sliders, giving instructors the ability to simulate different building conditions. The House Simulator also connects directly to Retrotec’s Duct Simulator, enabling a complete demonstration of Duct Leakage to Outdoors testing.
