Duct Simulator
The Retrotec Duct Simulator is a training tool designed for instructors who want to teach duct leakage testing in a classroom or controlled environment. Built to simulate a real duct system, it allows for hands-on demonstrations of setup, testing, and diagnostics without the need for access to an actual HVAC system.
The simulator features adjustable leakage points that can be easily modified using Velcro sliders, enabling instructors to replicate a wide range of leakage scenarios. When paired with a Retrotec DucTester system (sold separately), the Duct Simulator allows trainees to perform accurate duct leakage tests, observe system behavior, and gain practical experience using industry-standard equipment.
For a more advanced demonstration, the Duct Simulator can be connected directly to the Retrotec House Simulator to simulate a full Duct Leakage to Outdoors test. This combined setup offers a realistic and repeatable way to teach energy auditing, HVAC diagnostics, and building performance testing.
